Where Junior Psychologists Flourish
Our junior team members go on to great things, and we are proud of it.
Zara Tandy, our brilliant Assistant Psychologist, joined us in June 2025 as a Graduate Psychology Intern and progressed to become our Assistant Psychologist. Over eighteen months she has carried her own therapy caseload, supported autism and ADHD assessments, helped build our Learning Hub and Podnotes, strengthened our clinical data and audit work, and been the warm, friendly face that greets clients as they walk through our door.
She even named our newsletter:An Affiniti to Psychology. We changed just one word, and it is nowAn Affiniti for Psychology, because no psychologist can resist a small intervention. The idea, though, is all hers.
Towards the end of December, Zara leaves us to become a Structured Clinical Management (SCM) Practitioner with Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, working with people with personality disorder. SCM has its roots in Professor Anthony Bateman and Professor Peter Fonagy's landmark research into treatments for borderline personality disorder.
We are now looking for our next Assistant Psychologist to build on that legacy.

- A proven springboard — our junior staff move on to NHS, research and clinical training pathways
About Affiniti+
Founded in 2023 by Dr Anindita Sarkar, Consultant Clinical Psychologist (AFBPsS, CPsychol), Affiniti+ is an independent clinical psychology organisation and digital platform at Royal Arsenal, Woolwich. We help children, young people, adults and organisations to flourish through therapy, group work, assessment (including autism and ADHD), workplace consultation and clinical supervision for practitioners.
Our Learning Hub makes psychology accessible and affordable to all, through online workshops, our newsletter An Affiniti for Psychology, and Podnotes, our psychology show exploring mental health through honest, practical conversation.
We are a multidisciplinary, growing team spanning clinical psychology, psychotherapy, programme development and digital systems. What connects us is a shared set of standards: clinical rigour, human connection and thoughtful innovation.
What We Value
- Authenticity — we are honest about what we do, why we do it and where its limits are, and we celebrate what makes each of us unique.
- Compassion — for the people we serve and for each other. We listen, take our time, and support every colleague to grow.
- Difference — we welcome ideas that challenge convention, and design around real needs rather than one approach for everyone.
- Experience — we value the knowledge everyone brings, from lived experience to decades of clinical practice.
- A holistic approach — creativity for depth, wisdom for impact. We see the whole person and the wider system around them.
The Role
What you will do:
- Clinical — a supervised caseload of 8–10 clients across presentations appropriate for a pre-qualified psychologist, completing full therapy journeys from session planning and mid-therapy review to discharge care plans and clinical reports
- Assessment — support autism and ADHD assessments, including report writing and school observations
- Groups — help develop and deliver group programmes, such as a parenting group for parents of children with mental health difficulties
- Learning Hub — work closely with our Digital Systems Assistant on workshops, Podnotes episodes, handbooks and our newsletter, from idea to delivery
- Research and data — administer and score questionnaires, support our clinical dashboard and database, and contribute to audit, service evaluation and publications
- Clients and team — work day to day alongside our Graduate Psychologist / Trainee Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, Graduate Psychology Intern and Digital Systems Assistant; be a warm, professional first point of contact for clients; and support practitioners renting our therapy rooms
