Hours: Full time Mon‑Fri 9am‑5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)

Purpose of the Role
As a Tax Senior, you will build core technical expertise in tax, take ownership of client work and contribute to team development and business growth. This role is a pivotal step towards client and team leadership, requiring strong teamwork and communication skills.
We operate a hybrid working model, allowing you to split time between home, office and client sites.
We support professional qualification completion (e.g., CTA) and provide ongoing training in soft skills, coaching, leadership, and access to Croner‑i CPD & technical library.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Preparation of a broad range of Tax Returns (personal, trust, estate) including IHT forms.
- Review of Tax Returns and compliance documents; liaise regularly with HMRC.
- Base knowledge of HMRC’s Trust Registration Service.
- Assist with training the team, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Mentor staff where required.
- Engage in advisory and project work and business development activities.
- Participate in client meetings to understand tax needs.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure client satisfaction.
- Identify and communicate tax planning opportunities to management.
- Contribute to the team’s objectives by sharing knowledge and ideas.
- Engage in business development, promoting Affinia and its services to existing and potential clients. The level of involvement will be bespoke as part of your personal development plan.
Professional Skills / Qualifications
- Qualified (ATT) and/or CTA (or studying towards).
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both in team and independently.
- Strong core knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
