This is a full-time Account Manager role based in Salford. The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of commercial clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for all aspects of their energy and utility requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating contract renewals, supporting energy procurement activities, and ensuring clients understand their consumption data and cost savings. The role involves monitoring account performance, resolving queries and billing issues, preparing reports and presentations, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality service. The Account Manager will also identify opportunities for additional services, contribute to retention and growth targets, and help clients stay informed about regulatory changes and best practices in energy management.

Qualifications

  • Strong client relationship management skills, including account management, stakeholder communication, and customer service.
  • Experience in utilities, energy management, or a related B2B environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including working with consumption data, billing information, and cost-saving calculations.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and other digital tools to track client activity, contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and continuous improvement of client outcomes.
  • Previous experience in a commercial or consultancy-based role is preferred; a background in energy, utilities, or facilities management is an advantage.
  • Relevant education in business, energy, environmental management, or a related field is beneficial, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work effectively on-site in Salford as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
