As part of the Affidea Group, we are the most successful European healthcare diagnostics imaging company. We have 400 staff within our Irish clinics, where the business operates diagnostic imaging and minor injuries clinics. We are seeking Bank MRI Radiographers for our clinic in Belfast.
The MRI Radiographer is responsible for the daily operation of MRI services, including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance. They perform diagnostic MRI examinations with a high level of clinical and technical expertise, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The role requires independent judgment to assess clinical information, select appropriate scan parameters, and identify normal versus pathological findings.
Key duties:- Operating and maintaining MRI equipment and systems.
- Ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
- Managing patient care, including informed consent and safe transfer.
- Maintaining accurate records and radiology information systems.
- Staying current with developments in radiographic techniques and procedures.
- Participating in departmental policies, staff development, and performance reviews.
The MRI Radiographer must uphold high ethical standards, demonstrate initiative in professional growth, and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Essential Qualifications:- BSc Radiography/DCR(R) or equivalent.
- HCPC registration.
- Full working permissions in Northern Ireland.
- Post Graduate Qualification in MR Imaging.
- Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience and a minimum of 2 years’ MRI experience.
