As part of the Affidea Group, we operate diagnostic imaging clinics, minor injuries units and medical and surgical clinics across the country. We have 3 clinics in Northern Ireland: Orthoderm, Hillsborough Private Clinic and Affidea Belfast, our MRI centre. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team in Orthoderm on a part-time basis. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-focused care to individuals seeking treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
The post-holder will work in a busy clinic with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and will have a chance to work closely with musculoskeletal consultants and radiographers to help further develop their skills in assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation.
- Provide a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation programs.
- Work with patients to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and improve function, helping them recover from injuries or manage chronic conditions.
- Educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and prevention strategies to ensure long-term health improvements.
- Collaborate with the clinics multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care to patients.
- Provide guidance and support to patients through their rehabilitation journey, offering encouragement and promoting self-management techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and physiotherapy techniques.
- Be aware of and assist in the implementation of professional best practice in adherence to Clinical Governance requirements.
- Participate in quality improvements through evaluation of practice and clinical audit.
Qualifications:
- Essential: A degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or equivalent).
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
- Desirable: Attended further post-graduate musculoskeletal courses.
Experience:
- 1 years experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in a clinical setting.
- A proactive, patient-centred approach with a strong commitment to professional development.
- Strong rehabilitation and clinical reasoning skills.
- An up-to-date knowledge of physiotherapy and rehabilitation techniques.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of patients.
- Previous experience in sports physiotherapy is desirable.
