The Affidea Group is one of Europe's leading out of hospital healthcare providers. The business operates diagnostic imaging, community out of hospital clinics and minor injuries centres. We're expanding our presence in the UK, bringing advanced imaging services, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray and DEXA scans, together with specialist outpatient care, all backed by decades of international clinical expertise.
As we grow our UK footprint, with clinics across the UK, we're building our team to make world-class patient care possible, starting with reliable, well-run technology.
We're looking for an IT Deployment & Support Engineer to play a hands-on role in getting our new London clinics up and running, then keeping them running smoothly day to day. You'll start by supporting the technical delivery of new clinic openings, installing networks, workstations, telecoms and clinical technology, and working closely with our IT Manager, project teams, vendors and clinical staff to get each site ready to open its doors. As sites go live, your focus will shift toward ongoing IT support, maintenance and infrastructure management across our growing network of clinics.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, likes solving problems hands-on, and wants to see the direct impact of their work, from a brand-new clinic switching on for the first time, to keeping frontline healthcare technology running when patients and clinicians need it most.
What you'll be doing:
- Clinic deployment & project delivery
- Support the planning, installation and commissioning of IT infrastructure for new clinics
- Deploy network switches, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, PCs, laptops, printers and clinical workstations
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and internal teams during fit-out and go-live
- Run pre-go-live testing and readiness checks
- Infrastructure & technical support
- Provide first and second-line support across multiple clinic locations
- Troubleshoot Windows devices, Microsoft 365, networking, printers, mobile devices and clinical applications
- Support network administration (switch configuration, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, firewalls)
- Manage user accounts, permissions and device provisioning
- Operational support & compliance
- Provide onsite support during go-lives and periods of change
- Maintain accurate documentation and asset records
- Support endpoint management, patching and device compliance initiatives
Job requirements:
- Experience in IT Support, Infrastructure, or Field Engineering
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, switching)
- Experience deploying and configuring PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices
- A proactive, hands-on approach, comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Willingness to travel across London and surrounding areas
Nice to have:
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Experience in healthcare, clinical or diagnostic imaging environments (e.g. RIS/PACS)
- Experience with Intune, Endpoint Manager or other device management tools
- Exposure to office moves, site builds or infrastructure deployment projects
Why join us:
- Be part of a fast-growing UK operation backed by a major European healthcare group
- Real variety, no two weeks look the same, from deployments to hands-on support
- Work at the heart of frontline healthcare technology, with visible impact on patient care
- Join a collaborative, supportive IT team as we build something from the ground up
This role sits at the heart of Affidea's UK growth, combining hands-on deployment work with ongoing IT support across our London clinics. It suits an IT professional who works well independently, takes ownership of problems, and is comfortable operating in a healthcare environment.
At Affidea, we believe that delivering excellent patient care starts with building diverse, inclusive teams that reflect the communities we serve. We're committed to creating a workplace where everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or background, feels welcome, valued, and able to do their best work.
We know that diverse perspectives make us better: better at solving problems, better at innovating, and ultimately better at supporting the patients and clinicians who rely on us. That's why we actively encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates, and we're committed to making our recruitment process fair and accessible.
