Founded in 2023, AFC Rugby is a fast growing football club based in Rugby, Warwickshire. We have grown from one senior team into a club now building across senior and youth football, with a clear long term ambition to create a permanent football home for the community. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey.
This role would suit someone who is passionate about sport, community, local business, sponsorship, partnerships, or simply helping a growing club become more sustainable off the pitch. You do not need decades of experience. More important to us is someone with confidence, good communication, and the willingness to work hard and support the club properly.
The role will include:
- Finding and building relationships with local sponsors and partners
- Helping develop new commercial ideas for the club
- Supporting sponsorship packages and partnership opportunities
- Working with the club committee on growth and sustainability
- Helping AFC Rugby become stronger off the pitch as we continue to grow on it
- Representing the club professionally with local businesses and community partners
This is a volunteer role and would include a place on the AFC Rugby committee, giving the right person a real voice in the future direction of the club. We are not looking for someone to just fill a title. We are looking for someone who believes in what AFC Rugby is trying to build and wants to play a part in helping a young, ambitious community club move forward.
Mostly remote, with occasional attendance at club meetings, matches or local sponsor meetings in Rugby, Warwickshire.
Commitment: Flexible, with regular communication with the club committee.
