AFC Fylde is looking to recruit a talented and driven Media Executive to play a key role in shaping the Club's media presence and engaging with supporters across all platforms. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the day to day delivery of the Club's media operations, creating compelling content that enhances the profile of AFC Fylde and strengthens connections with supporters, sponsors and the wider football community. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and ambitious media professional who is passionate about football, digital content and fan engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Matchday Media Operations
    • Produce the official AFC Fylde matchday programme from planning through to publication.
    • Lead the delivery of matchday media activities including scoreboard content, announcements and pre and post-match interviews.
    • Manage live social media coverage before, during and after matches.
    • Coordinate the production and release of match related media content.
    • Facilitate media requests from external broadcasters, journalists and content creators.
    • Organise interviews with management and players.
    • Coordinate sponsor and mascot matchday requirements.
  • Content Creation & Digital Media
    • Manage and maintain content across the AFC Fylde website.
    • Create engaging written content for press releases, website articles and social media channels.
    • Deliver media campaigns surrounding player signings, kit launches, sponsorship announcements and player features.
    • Work with the Club's design team to develop creative marketing and promotional materials.
    • Produce additional publications and special projects as required.
  • Fan Engagement & Club Promotion
    • Develop and implement fan engagement initiatives that grow and strengthen the Club's supporter base.
    • Work closely with supporter groups and fan communities to deliver collaborative campaigns and activities.
    • Support the planning and promotion of club-wide initiatives and events.
    • Assist with annual kit launches and related supporter engagement campaigns.
  • Collaborative Working
    • Work closely with AFC Fylde Foundation to promote community initiatives and maintain aligned messaging.
    • Collaborate with other media teams across AFC Fylde Women and the wider Mill Farm group.
    • Ensure all communications and content reflect the values, identity and ambitions of AFC Fylde.

About You

The successful candidate will be a creative storyteller with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of modern sports media. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working within a professional football club or sporting environment.
  • Strong journalism, writing and editorial skills.
  • Experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Knowledge of photography and videography.
  • Experience delivering successful media or marketing projects.
  • An understanding of graphic design principles and brand consistency.
  • Relevant media, journalism or marketing qualifications.
