AFC Fylde are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Recruitment Research Analyst (Intern) to support the Club’s player recruitment function. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience within a professional football environment, working closely with the Director of Football and Head of Recruitment. The successful candidate will contribute to building comprehensive, contextual player profiles that go beyond on-pitch data, helping inform key recruitment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Player Research & Analysis
- Compile detailed background profiles on players under recruitment consideration
- Conduct research using reputable, publicly available sources (e.g. club platforms, databases, media outlets)
- Analyse player career history and relevant personal context
- Monitor publicly available social media activity to assess professionalism and cultural fit
- Identify player representation, contractual status, and reported transfer interest
- Reporting & Documentation
- Produce clear, factual, and unbiased written reports
- Maintain an organised and up-to-date research database
- Ensure all findings are properly referenced and source‑traceable
- Flag any areas of concern promptly to senior staff
- Store all research securely in line with club policies
- Process & Compliance
- Conduct all research in compliance with UK GDPR and data protection standards
- Work exclusively with publicly available information
- Maintain accurate records of research sources
- Support the development of consistent and efficient research processes
