SALARY: £37,694 - £38,990 (under review)

DEPARTMENT: Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute Northern Ireland (AFBI)

LOCATION: AFBI Headquarters, Newforge Lane Belfast, BT9 5PX. They may also be expected to work at other AFBI sites in Northern Ireland as required.

The successful candidate will be required to work at sea, sometimes in inclement conditions, for up to 50 days per year on trips of up to two weeks duration on vessels engaged in scientific studies.

Further permanent and fixed term appointments may be made from this competition should AFBI positions become vacant which have similar duties and responsibilities.
