Lead High‑Impact Energy Procurement and Deliver Outstanding Value for AF Members. We’re looking for an experienced Energy Procurement Manager to join our Utilities team and play a pivotal role in delivering best‑value procurement and exceptional service across the AF Energy portfolios. If you thrive in a fast‑moving environment and want to make a meaningful impact for our Members, this could be your next step.
As Energy Procurement Manager, you’ll work closely with the Head of Data Analytics & Utilities Strategy to shape procurement strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive growth across our energy product areas. You’ll lead a team of five, ensuring a seamless member journey from procurement through to supply management, bill validation, and query resolution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑moving environment, enjoys building strong relationships, and brings both analytical and commercial strength.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Energy team to deliver an excellent end‑to‑end Member experience.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and high‑quality service.
- Identify new business opportunities to grow member commitment and volume.
- Contribute to business planning, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Monitor energy markets, pricing trends, and regulatory changes.
- Develop new and existing product areas and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Ensure accurate implementation of processes, procedures, and reporting.
- Communicate procurement strategies clearly to internal teams and members.
- Collaborate with other Procurement Managers to identify cross‑selling opportunities.
- Support wider business needs during peak periods and attend industry events as required.
