Summary We are seeking to recruit several Apprentice Service Engineers to join our dynamic and experienced team at A&F Sprinklers. Alongside your daily work, you will be completing a Maintenance Apprenticeship in partnership with Rochdale Training. Work As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you’ll do at work What you’ll be doing: Perform Water Supply Check Perform Pre-Run Checks of Fire Pumps Correct Starting of Fire Pumps Pre-Check Wet Type Sprinkler System Pre-Check Dry Type Sprinkler System Perform Weekly Routine Testing of Wet & Dry & Alternate Type Systems Perform Weekly / Monthly Routine Testing of Sprinkler Fire Pumps (Diesel, Electric and Jockey) Be able to operate machinery correctly e.g. Rigid 300 Power Driver, Machine Groover, Cordless Drills etc. Where you’ll work UNIT 4 TRANS PENNINE TRADING ESTATE GORRELLS WAY ROCHDALE OL11 2PX Training An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. College or training organisation ROCHDALE TRAINING ASSOCIATION LIMITED Your training course Maintenance and operations engineering technician Level 3 (A level) Your training plan This role requires the successful candidate to attend Rochdale Training Association for their apprenticeship and further development. Requirements Essential qualifications GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4 or above) essential Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills Communication skills IT skills Attention to detail Problem solving skills Team working Valid Driving Licence Learn new skills Other requirements This role will involve traveling around the northwest and is very practical.
