This is a really hands-on role, focused on organising, coordinating and delivering a growing programme of events as well as the company’s evolving client community experience. Events are both in-person and online, for prospects as well as existing clients, including some industry-focused, larger exhibitions. They run breakfast meetings which they’re looking to increase to monthly from quarterly, taking the form of roundtables or larger face-to-face networking events. It will be your role to manage venue bookings, suppliers, catering and logistics, as well as drafting invitations, writing copy for landing pages and follow-up communications, and generally keeping track of the events calendar.
From a community perspective, the company is in the early stages of building an online community, and it will be your role to populate this from a content perspective – ‘how-to’ videos, webinars, podcasts, etc., as well as organising and coordinating online community events. You’ll be working across a number of departments to ensure all the content is up to date and accurate, and there will be a small element of moderation.
What we’re looking for:
- Some experience of commercial event organisation, both in person and online.
- Experience of content creation and ideally management of an online community forum.
- B2B background is required; experience within the financial services industry or tech sectors would be a distinct advantage.
- Organised, dynamic person who will just get on with things.
- Comfortable with the logistics side of events, liaising with suppliers and stakeholders, with a creative edge to run with ideas for the community.
- Any experience of event platforms, digital tools or community platforms would also be a plus.
What’s on Offer?
- Hybrid working (three days in the office).
- Salary between £30-40,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus.
- Pension, life cover, income protection and private medical.
- Opportunity for internal promotion and growth within the role.
- Flexible working would also be considered.
