We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Worker to join our team on a busy mixed farm in Northern Ireland. The farm is home to dairy cows (milked via 4 robotic systems), pigs, and beef cattle.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily care of livestock, including feeding calves through to larger stock
- Carrying out animal husbandry and welfare to a high standard
- Operating farm machinery: tractors, bedding machine, slurry equipment, silage and crop machinery
- Routine tasks such as scraping out, cleaning sheds, and maintaining hygiene
- Checking stock regularly and reporting issues promptly
- Maintaining strict Health & Safety standards at all times
- Working flexibly as part of a team and using initiative when required
Requirements
- UK driving licence (essential)
- Proven farm experience with cattle and/or pigs
- Good knowledge of livestock handling and welfare
- Ability to communicate clearly with good oral and written English
- A team player with a strong work ethic and flexibility for varied hours
