A & F Grant Ltd are looking to recruit HGV Bulk Liquid Tanker Drivers based in Penrith.
We offer a choice of shift patterns, providing flexibility and a good work-life balance:
5 days on / 3 days off
5 days on / 2 days off - Monday to Friday / Tuesday to Saturday / Sunday to Thursday
All positions are full-time and will require successful applicants to be willing to stay away in the truck for approximately 3-4 nights per week , depending on the shift pattern.
There will also be occasional overtime available as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a bulk liquid tanker and deliver products to customer locations.
Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
Complete all required delivery and compliance paperwork accurately.
Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness and vehicle care.
Communicate effectively with the Transport Planning team and customers.
Provide a professional and courteous service at all times.
Comply with all relevant Drivers' Hours, tachograph, health & safety and environmental requirements .
About You
Applicants should hold a clean HGV driving licence and a current Driver CPC .
Previous experience in the haulage of bulk liquids to farms and mills would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
The successful candidates should have a good understanding of Drivers' Hours, tachograph regulations, defect reporting and health & safety .
What We Offer
Competitive rates of pay , with enhanced overtime rates for weekends
Performance-based bonus with the potential to earn an additional 50p per hour , subject to meeting certain criteria
Bank Holiday rate - £21 per hour
Nightly subsistence - £26.20 tax-free
£10 daily tax-free meal allowance where a duty of 11 hours or more is completed
20-28 days' holiday per annum , depending on shift pattern
Discretionary personal accident cover
Uniform provided following completion of the 3-month probationary period
CPC training & driver medicals
4% employer pension contribution into the NEST pension scheme
