Subway Sandwich Artist in Newark on Trent

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sandwich Artist to work in the SUBWAY department within our Newark Pfs, who enjoy having fun working as part of a small team. We are looking for someone who is motivated, friendly, and hands-on. Reporting directly to the Subway Duty Manager, as a Sandwich Artist in our Subway, you will display exceptional customer service, greeting and interacting with our customers in a helpful and friendly manner, creating a pleasant experience while completing orders.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Preparing all sandwich ingredients, including baking cookies/bread and washing, cutting, slicing, chopping, and grating ingredients, in accordance with established guidelines.
• Demonstrating a complete understanding of menu items and explaining options to Subway customers accurately.
• Neatly preparing sandwiches according to customer orders.
• Re-stocking sandwich ingredients to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
• Using the till to record the order, take payment, and give correct change where necessary.
• Understanding and adhering to all Subway, SPAR, and company operating processes, policies, and procedures.
• Adhering to all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing/preparing/serving food and cleaning the department.

Key Skills / Knowledge:

• Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
• Some understanding of health and food safety legislative responsibilities in a food environment.
• Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business at SPAR.
• Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently.
