Warehouse Operative (Reach Driver), Morning Shift (06:00 – 14:00)
40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis.
Temperature-controlled (4°C) environment.
Pay rates based on performance:
- 90% performance: £13.29 per hour
- 100% performance: £14.70 per hour
- 110% performance: £16.11 per hour
- 120% performance: £17.52 per hour
(All inclusive of £0.60ph FLT allowance)
As a Warehouse Operative (Reach Driver) in Bedford (MK41 7BJ), you will be responsible for replenishment, ferrying, bulk storage control, and other warehouse activities. We seek motivated, friendly, hardworking individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Replenishing picking fixtures accurately and systematically.
- Using bulk storage space efficiently.
- Labeling/re-labeling pallets accurately.
- Following stock rotation procedures.
- Transferring bulk stock from goods inwards to storage areas.
- Recording stock movements accurately.
- Assembling and loading customer orders safely.
- Performing warehouse duties efficiently.
- Marking and storing assembled orders for dispatch.
- Loading customer orders onto vehicles correctly.
- Distributing run-sheets, documentation, and keys post-loading.
- Preparing vehicles for loading.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Essential: Reach license, warehousing/distribution experience, ability to work in cold environments.
- Desirable: Experience working in freezer environments (additional £1.18ph premium), Counterbalance/VNA licenses.
