Job Title: Sandwich Artist
Part-Time Position: Minimum 16 hours per week – additional hours may be available based on store needs. Shifts include weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
We have an exciting opportunity for a \’Sandwich Artist\’ at our Winthorpe Avenue SPAR store in the SUBWAY department. We seek motivated, friendly, and hands-on individuals who enjoy working as part of a small team. Reporting directly to the Subway Duty Manager, you will deliver exceptional customer service, greet and interact with customers, and create a pleasant experience while preparing orders.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Understand menu items thoroughly and explain options to customers accurately.
- Neatly prepare sandwiches according to customer orders.
- Re-stock ingredients to ensure availability throughout your shift.
- Use the till to record orders, process payments, and give correct change.
- Follow all Subway, SPAR, and company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain food safety, handling, and sanitation standards when storing, preparing, and serving food, as well as cleaning the department.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
- Understanding of health and food safety legislation in a food environment.
- Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales.
- Keen, enthusiastic, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
