Willenhall Depot

Rotating Shifts 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm

We are looking for an experienced Team Manager in our Ambient Warehouse operation, who is motivated, friendly, hard-working and passionate. The ideal candidate has the drive and motivation to support and engage a diverse team. You will be required to support and assist the Operations Manager with the organisation and control of efficient and profitable operations within the depot. If you have the desire to manage, with drive and determination, then this could be the role for you.

Some Key Accountabilities:

  • To support the Operations Manager with the supervision of effective operations and adherence to H&S legislation.
  • To carry out supervisory tasks as required by the Operations Manager.
  • To cover areas of operations when low on resources as requested by the Operations Manager to ensure consistent operational performance.
  • To ensure effective operations in the temporary absence of the Operations Manager.
  • To assist with staff scheduling, including absence management and performance.
  • To assist the Operations Manager in the effective use and maintenance of all equipment and machinery.

Some Key Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Good level of Maths and English and working knowledge of Microsoft programmes - Word and Excel is desirable.
  • Warehousing experience essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills essential.
  • Ability to deal with conflict in an effective and professional manner.
  • Shows a commitment to ongoing personal development and training, always striving to improve.
  • First line Management experience and experience in managing people in a food distribution environment is essential.
  • IT Literate and knowledge of using a WMS system would be an advantage.
