As a Scheme & Network Relationship Manager, you will manage Aevi's operational relationships with card schemes and local payment methods (LPMs). You will be the primary point of contact for scheme queries and clarifications, ensuring that scheme rules, certifications and roadmaps support Aevi's orchestration platform across SmartPOS, SoftPOS, unattended and omnichannel use cases. You will work closely with Partnerships, Product, Engineering, Delivery, Security and Sales to remove scheme friction from deals, launches and product decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Own operational relationships with card schemes and local payment methods
- Act as Aevi's first point of contact for scheme and LPM questions
- Track scheme rules, bulletins, and mandates
- Coordinate scheme and LPM certifications end to end
- Support sales and partnerships with early scheme clarity
- Prevent late-stage scheme blockers in deals and delivery
- Manage schemes and LPMs, including global card schemes, local debit schemes, meal vouchers, fuel cards, and closed or semi-closed networks
- Interpret scheme rules across acquirers, devices, geographies, and use cases
- Support certifications for SmartPOS, SoftPOS, unattended, wallets, and value-added services
- Work with Product and Engineering on scheme impact to platform design
- Maintain clear internal guidance on what is allowed, restricted, or high risk

- Reviewing new scheme bulletins and assessing impact
- Answering internal questions from sales, product, and delivery
- Coordinating certification tasks and timelines
- Escalating issues early, with facts and options

- Experience supporting scheme certifications, rule interpretation or scheme engagement
- Experience working cross-functionally with product and technical teams

- Experience in multi-acquirer or orchestration environments
- Exposure to SmartPOS, SoftPOS, unattended or in-person payments
- Experience across multiple European markets
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience
- Background in payments, financial services or technology is a plus
