THE ROLE
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, coordination, and performance of all food and beverage outlets. Working closely with the Café & Members Manager and Supervisors this role ensures seamless guest and member experience across all venues while fostering a positive team culture and maintaining high operational standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the daily operation of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring consistency in service, quality, and presentation.
- Partner closely with the Café & Members Manager to align operations, member experience, events, and service standards across the property.
- Act as the key link between outlets, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and support between teams.
- Lead, motivate, and develop supervisors and team members, creating a positive and high-performing working environment.
- Be present on the floor, supporting service where needed and leading by example.
- Ensure all outlets are appropriately staffed and scheduled to meet business needs.
- Deliver exceptional guest and member experiences by maintaining a visible presence and responding proactively to feedback.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching conversations, and development planning.
- Implement and maintain training programmes to ensure consistency of service and product knowledge.
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the culinary, membership, host, and events teams to ensure smooth daily operations and successful event delivery.
- Manage guest feedback and service recovery, ensuring concerns are resolved professionally and positively.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, health & safety, and licensing compliance.
- Act as the department's lead user for Lightspeed POS and support ongoing system improvements.
- Monitor labour, revenue, and departmental costs, supporting the achievement of financial targets and budgets.
- Attend management meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the food and beverage offering.
Support the wider operation as required and undertake additional duties relevant to the role.
ABOUT YOU
- Ideally you would have previous restaurant experience with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel
- Strong operational food and beverage leadership experience in hospitality, clubs, lifestyle hotels or members' clubs
- A hands‑on leader who enjoys being on the floor and working alongside their team.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple outlets and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience managing teams, training programmes, scheduling, and departmental performance.
- Knowledge of POS systems, food safety, health & safety, and hospitality compliance.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to financial performance and operational efficiency.
