Independent major player in execution services for financial transactions, Aether consists of a 40-person-plus multicultural team, who are experts in three business lines. In London, Aether Financial Services has achieved in 2022 and 2023 a 45% growth each year with strong ambition for the future.
Agency services: Aether operates in the private debt and capital markets, covering all agency roles: loan agent, bond agent, administrative agent, calculation agent, paying agent, security agent, etc.
Valuation and calculation: Aether provides independent valuations of all types of financial instruments and securities, from the most vanilla to the most highly structured products for recurring, specific or one-off needs.
Corporate and Issuer Services: Aether offers a set of constantly evolving value-added services dedicated to managing the life of financial transactions based on proprietary digital solutions “VOX AEQUITAS” (capital increase or subscription, general meeting, registrar, record keeping, management package implementation, etc.).
To support its development, Aether is creating a position at its London office for a Senior Business Development Director of the Agency Private Debt activity to accelerate its growth in the UK. Reporting directly to the company's General Management, your missions after a familiarization phase with the specificities of the Company's offers will be:
- You will take the measure of the services offered by Aether in the field of the Private Debt Agency to formalize and define a development strategy (markets and targets) and the corresponding commercial discourse to support the development of the company.
- By taking responsibility for such development, your mission will consist in formalizing the communication/marketing material to promote Aether FS's offers while also being a force of proposals on the essential evolutions to be considered to reinforce our position on the market in terms of offers and services.
- You will be a driving force in coordinating the different resources and a field actor in the realization of the development actions of the offers and this activity vis-à-vis the identified targets by relying both on existing customer contacts and on new targets in the UK but also Continental Europe.
- By your position, you will be in close relation with the other Business Unit Directors to maximize the sharing of information as well as joint development opportunities and synergies.
- You will ensure regular reporting and an adequate monthly point to the General Management linked to your position, and the progress of the actions carried out and to be undertaken to achieve the development objectives, notably in terms of customer follow-up and commercial proposals.
- Formalizing a coherent, innovative service offering tailored to the post-transactional challenges of private debt operations.
- Develop your commercial positioning, identify priority targets, build marketing arguments, and implement an active prospecting strategy by mobilizing and expanding your network.
- Direct involvement in all communication elements related to the business (sales presentations, blogs, articles, webinars, round tables, trade shows, etc.) in collaboration with internal teams to ensure visibility and differentiation in the market.
- Maintain direct involvement in existing projects to inform strategic thinking through a detailed understanding of operational issues and performance drivers.
- Actively participate in industry events and conferences to increase the visibility of the offering and expand the development network.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory developments that may impact, influence or promote the company's activities, both in the UK and internationally, with a particular focus on the French, Spanish, Italian and other European markets.
YOUR PROFILE
- 10 to 12 years minimum experience in the Agency Private Debt Business Development with a proven understanding of the UK landscape as well with some international exposure.
- Strong operational knowledge of UK Private Debt markets and their functioning (technical, regulatory and legal).
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, independent, and hungry to grow in a favorable environment.
- The willingness to take operational control of the development of an activity with all the commercial, marketing and field management challenges within the framework of a strong strategic will.
- Proficient in Office 360.
- Fluent in English, another European language (German, Dutch, Spanish) is a strong plus.
- Good interpersonal skills / likes to work in a team.
- Accountability and sense of customer relationship, autonomy.
