What You’ll Do
- Run and maintain CNC Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM) to meet production schedules
- Set up machines following approved methods, developing full machine-setting proficiency
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to align fixtures and tooling correctly
- Carry out inspections using manual gauges and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Hit targets for output, quality, and housekeeping as defined by your Cell Manager
- Comply with all company policies, including SOX, Code of Conduct, and Health & Safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
- No previous EDM experience required—we’ll teach you everything
- CNC machining background is advantageous but not essential
- Aerospace sector experience is a plus
- Comfortable reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Confident self-inspection skills with manual measurement tools
- A proactive approach to quality and safety
Compensation & Benefits
- Contract: 37 hours per week across a three-shift rotation
- Starting pay: £14.71 per hour
- Shift allowance: 21% premium (£3.09/hr)
- Total starting rate: £17.80 per hour
- Potential for post-training pay increase: £15.86 per hour base + 21% shift premium = £19.19 per hour
- Holiday: 26 days plus 7 UK bank holidays, rising to 27 days after 2 years and 28 days after 10 years
- Overtime available and paid at agreed rates
