Role purpose
The Product Artwork Manager is responsible for the oversight, resourcing/project allocation of all new and existing Product Artwork assets in line with Aesop’s philosophy, packaging principles and positioning. As a senior member of the team, this role will be expected to drive brand consistency across all Printed Packaging assets within the Aesop Catalogue and manage the artwork standards within each category. The Product Artwork Manager will work closely with both DMI and Operations Leaders to maintain the Aesop brand and customer experience, supporting the team to deliver aligned outcomes.
Additional to building strong relationships internally, the role will maintain solid relationships across key printed material suppliers globally to drive commercial, sustainability and innovation objectives for our products.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and develop the Product Artwork team, fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability.
- Oversee workflow, project planning, resource allocation, risk assessment, and process improvement.
- Conduct regular development discussions, providing feedback and coaching to empower team success.
- Project Oversight & Delivery
- Allocate and prioritise workload to ensure timely delivery across the pipeline.
- Maintain visibility of project status, monitor performance indicators, and manage budgets and technical costs.
- Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams (DMI, Operations, R&I, SRCM) and externally with suppliers to meet brand standards and maximise outcomes.
- Artwork Creation & Standards
- Manage artwork asset creation from concept through to final approval, ensuring brand consistency and customer experience.
- Apply and maintain category standards in partnership with Heads of Category, Marketing, and Creative teams.
- Support lifecycle management of artwork assets across platforms (TAG, Asset Portal, SharePoint).
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive process optimisation and implement new systems to enhance development and packaging workflows.
- Champion innovation and sustainability within the team and across stakeholder groups.
This is a full-time position operating with a hybrid working pattern.

- Advanced certifications with the Adobe Suite, specifically InDesign.
- Demonstrated experience leading and thriving in a high pace design studio environment.
- Strong design sensibility and natural ability to translate concept ambition to print ready assets.
- Experience leading large scale cross functional groups through project execution.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge across Packaging, Print, Pre-press and within the print production environment.
- Natural, clear communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Extensive experience in the development and manufacture of printed assets across skincare, Hand and body care, Fragrance and home categories.
- Strong technical problem-solving ability and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Advanced knowledge of InDesign within the print environment and experience setting up automated workflows.
