As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people living in a residential setting. You will help create a safe, caring, and supportive environment while encouraging independence, promoting wellbeing, and supporting each young person's daily needs and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to children and young people.
- Promote a safe, caring, and positive living environment.
- Support daily routines, including activities, education, appointments, and independent living skills.
- Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Complete accurate daily records and incident reports.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
Shift Pattern
- 4 days on, 8 days off
- 4 night shifts
- Day shift: 07:30 – 23:30
- Sleep-in: 23:30 – 07:30
- Sleep-in duties are required. Waking nights are generally not required unless specifically requested.
- Most bookings are urgent, same-day cover for staff sickness, so flexibility and availability are essential.

- Enhanced DBS for the Children's Workforce

- Valid UK driving licence
- Company ID (where applicable)
- Original compliance documents must be presented on arrival at the home

- Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Flexible and able to respond to short-notice shift requests.
