We are seeking a talented and reliable Chef / Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for an experienced chef who takes pride in delivering high-quality, nutritious, and beautifully presented meals. Whether your background is in fast-paced a-la-carte dining or the rewarding environment of health and social care, your culinary expertise will ensure our service users and guests receive an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Meal Preparation & Service: Standardize, prepare, and cook high-quality dishes according to the required dietary needs or menu specifications.
- Menu Planning: Assist in designing and executing engaging menus (including a-la-carte or specialized dietary menus where required).
- Kitchen Operations: Manage daily section tasks, ensuring prep work is completed efficiently and food waste is minimized.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP), ensuring the kitchen, equipment, and utensils are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Stock Management: Assist with stock control, rotation (FIFO), and correct storage of ingredients.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 6 months of professional chef experience within the UK is essential.
- Proven experience working as a Chef, Chef de Partie (CDP), or A-la-carte Chef.
Background (Preferred)
- Experience working as a Chef within a Care Home environment is highly desirable.
- Alternatively, solid experience as an A-la-carte Chef within any culinary sector in the UK.
