Due to the continuing success and growth of our AESG team, a fantastic opportunity has opened up at our award-winning Specialist Consultancy, Engineering and Advisory Firm. We are headquartered in London, Riyadh, Singapore and Dubai, Cape Town, Cairo & Sydney working throughout the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Our areas of expertise are represented in four core verticals: Building Engineering, Planning and Infrastructure, Strategy and Advisory and Commissioning, Handover and Asset Management. JOB PURPOSE

Hold responsibility for the construction supervision projects. Manage both the technical and commercial aspects of projects. Provides guidance and leadership to more junior team members.

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering or equivalent; Façade Engineering MSc preferred.
  • Required minimum experience 3-5 years.
  • Preferred façade design and engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, industry standards and guidance.
  • Experience with façade analysis tools is an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide façade consultancy services and develop facade design solutions (across a range of projects and project stages) that balance performance, buildability, and aesthetics.
  • Lead or contribute to new build, retrofit and façade remediation projects across multiple sectors.
  • Carry out technical reviews and engineering analyses across various project stages.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external consultants, design teams and specialists.
  • Support site-based technical services, including inspections and compliance monitoring.
  • Liaise with clients (architects, contractors, developers) and industry suppliers.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help develop the team’s technical capabilities.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, business development and work winning initiatives.

DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE BASE AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLSET

  • Time Management / Planning – Monitor progress and time taken to complete tasks to ensure tasks completion stays on track. Balance the time spent on activities, understanding and prioritising the urgency of tasks.
  • Industry Experience / Thought Leadership – Demonstrated industry experience on a wide range of related project types, proven ability to efficiently manage project deadlines.
  • Project Management / Operational Delivery – Ability to independently manage the delivery of smaller projects ($50k) in a client facing role. Strong knowledge of technical discipline with experience in executing previous projects to a high level of independence.
  • Leadership / Team Management Experience – Commence taking on elements of team management in sub projects. Demonstrable experience in managing a small team of 2 or more, on live projects, or mentoring junior team members / graduates.
  • Commercial Acumen / Business Development – Manage commercials on project delivery with support from more senior team members. Assist in creation and delivery of proposals.
  • Problem Solving / Decision Making – Coordinating tasks and solving specific problems within the areas of responsibility.
  • Employee Focus / Process Compliance – Actively coordinate efforts to enhance employee experience, such as planning and executing recognition programs, conducting surveys, and organising employee well-being initiatives. Identifies external regulations that can impact the organisation.
