Our client is a multi-disciplined design and engineering specialist, recognised for delivering cutting-edge automation and electrical engineering solutions. With strong growth and ongoing investment, they now require a Lead Wireman to oversee and guide their electrical build team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and wire control panels and machines, including motors, sensors, valves, and drives.
  • Install trunking, basket, conduit, and associated wiring accessories.
  • Lead, supervise, and support the wiring department on a day-to-day basis.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Carry out occasional offsite installation work (typically 1-2 projects per year, up to 1 week).
  • Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Wireman / Panel Wirer / Electrical Technician in an industrial or automation environment.
  • Strong ability to read and work from electrical schematics.
  • Hands-on experience wiring industrial machines and control cabinets.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safe working practices.

You\’ll be a self-motivated team player, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to take responsibility for leading a small team.
