A well-established engineering business specialising in automation, feeding systems and special purpose machinery is looking to recruit a Bowl Tool Technician / Mechanical Technician to join their expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer or technician who enjoys building, developing and optimising automated machinery used within advanced manufacturing environments. You will play a key role in the build, development and optimisation of vibratory bowl feeder systems used within automated production equipment.
The Role - As a Bowl Tool Technician / Mechanical Build Engineer, you will:
- Build vibratory bowl feeders and feeding systems to engineering specifications
- Work from engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics
- Install and integrate pneumatic components within machinery
- Develop systems from initial power-on through to full production performance
- Identify improvements to bowl design and system performance
- Support machine installation and commissioning when required
You will work closely with Design Engineers, Machine Build Technicians and Project Engineers within a collaborative engineering environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Experience within mechanical build, machine assembly or automation environments
- Ability to read engineering drawings and mechanical assemblies
- Strong hands-on workshop skills (lathe, milling machine, general tooling)
- Experience within automation, feeding & handling systems, or special purpose machinery would be highly beneficial.
