The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to add an additional electrician into our team. You will be working alongside a solar install team installing new solar systems on commercial, residential and new build properties and carrying out maintenance and diagnostics on existing systems.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Installation and maintenance of Solar PV systems and battery storage, including electrical wiring, mounting of inverters and panels and installation of switches.
- Working on a large range of projects ranging from small residential to large scale commercial projects.
- Representing the company at site visits, attending surveys, collecting relevant electrical information.
- Working as part of an installation team, ensuring that installations go according to plan and customer needs are met.
- Providing handovers and well-informed system explanations to customers.
- Ensure all electrical work is safe, certified and complies with relevant regulations.
- Managing paperwork on site including quality checks.
- Occasionally traveling away for installations in remote regions or large commercial projects.
- Working closely with in-house engineering, operations, and sales departments to provide electrical expertise and feedback.
Skills and experience:
Required:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulation certification.
- City & Guilds Inspection & Testing 2391 Course (C&G 2391-52).
- Proven experience of conducting EICR's.
- Valid ECS Card.
- Good knowledge of the Solar PV industry or willingness to learn.
- Full drivers licence.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Effective team member who can work well with others and also alone.
