Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic customer accounts, which includes coordination, facilitation & communication skills required to maintain these strategic business accounts.
  • Generate new and repeat sales by ascertaining existing and potential customer requirements, needs and expectancies.
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive relationships with current and potential customers.
  • Provide price quotes of in-stock parts and/or parts available on the market.
  • Utilize proven methods incorporating customer tendencies, product knowledge, market intelligence, and historical data to provide accurate quotes and sales orders in support of company objectives.
  • Respond to customer questions regarding part availability and product use.
  • Serve as point of contact for customer issues and ensure customer concerns, issues and questions are addressed.
  • Work with appropriate departments to ensure timely and accurate pricing, delivery and quality.
  • Meet or exceed target sales revenue goals by identifying and closing business with new and existing customers.
  • Market part inventories to the aviation world.
  • Travel to customer locations, seminars and/or conventions, as required, to develop existing or potential sales relationships.
  • Complete all required systematic transactions to complete sales function, e.g., sourcing, communicating with customer, entering sales orders, requests for repairs, invoicing, shipping documents, follow-up with customer, etc.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer service issues ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel required; hours may vary due to organizational need.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or four years of related work experience.
  • Three (3) years of proven aviation parts sales experience; engine background a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business, sales and marketing plans.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate and respond to verbal conversations and written requests.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and internet.
  • Must be able to learn new software and computer systems.
  • Disciplined organizational and multi-tasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Must be able to successfully adapt to change.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve conflict situations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal amount of sitting with mobility to move around an office environment.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, using hands to finger, handle or feel, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat or crawl.
  • Frequently may be required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Some work may be performed in an industrial warehouse setting with exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, extreme temperatures, fumes or airborne particles, dirt and dust.
