You Will
- Work with the Head of Systems to drive the definition, evolution, verification, and deployment of dependable, safety-critical systems for autonomous vehicle architecture in the airport driving environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on a cohesive strategy for architecture and integration.
- Architect solutions for scalability and usability, ensuring robust performance in time- and safety-critical production operations.
- Oversee E2E system integration, collaborating to identify and resolve architectural issues.
- Lead design reviews and design trade-off analyses.
Help to:
- Translate key stakeholder needs into tiered system requirements.
- Define and monitor KPIs for data-driven engineering and system performance.
- Support FMEA analyses and risk assessments.
- Mentor engineers in system-level thinking and interface design.
You Have
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying complex, integrated systems with safety-critical components.
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems and integration.
- Demonstrated experience with system documentation, including requirements, architecture and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions across all levels of the organization.
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage deeply and enjoy the work in a fast-paced startup environment with distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical thinking abilities.
- Proximity to Atlanta, open to travel up to 25%.
We Prefer
- MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience developing and deploying autonomous vehicles, autonomous systems, robotics, or ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Experience with DOORS, Jama, Polarion, Enterprise Architect, etc.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and networking protocols.
- Familiarity with safety standards in the development and deployment of complex autonomous systems (including ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, IEC 61508, ANSI B56.5, ISO3691, ANSI 15.08).
- Experience with safety in the context of aviation / airline and/or robotics applications.
- Familiarity with the airside driving environment at major global airports.
- Experience with cybersecurity (especially for automated vehicles).
- Experience with data science and statistical analysis.
- Located in or willingness to relocate to Atlanta.
