Aerotron Composites (ACL) is a privately owned company, one of a number of successful aviation companies in the Aerotron group. At our site in Chatteris we manufacture composite aircraft components for a number of major aerospace manufacturers. We are currently expanding our manufacturing capacity and will launch new repair capability for airlines within a new build extension of our current facilities.
We are looking for a Buyer or Senior Buyer (depending on experience) to join our Supply Chain Team within our Production Control Team. The Production Control Team (PCT) are collectively accountable for the on-time delivery to customers and work cross-functionally across departments, to convert the schedule into a production plan, manage risks and opportunities across Production and be consistent in communication to all stakeholders on the forecast production delivery date.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating quotes from suppliers and managing the purchase of demands in line with the MRP system.
- Management of stock code data to feed MRP system (EBQ, lead time, preferred supplier, supplier stock codes).
- Management of the purchasing mailbox and timely responses to all communications.
- Fully comply with company policies including Health and Safety at all times.
- Booking logistics.
- Continually update Purchasing information within MRP.
- Ensure the product is delivered in accordance with specification, delivery schedule, and quantity.
Supporting the planning team. Previous experience as Buyer/estimator required. PC literate, advanced knowledge of MS Excel essential and other MS Office including Project desirable.
