Responsibilities
- Produce high‑quality components from a range of exotic materials.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, STEP files and technical diagrams.
- Set up and operate 2‑ and 3‑axis CNC lathes, including Fanuc and XYZ controllers.
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times.
- Liaise with managers and shop‑floor staff to highlight technical issues or potential risks.
Qualifications
- Time‑served machinist; city and guilds in mechanical manufacturing engineering or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Manual turning skills desirable.
- CAD/CAM experience desirable; training can be provided.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Flexible approach to workload and business needs.
- Work well in a team environment.
