About the role
The role is to provide multi‑engine and Instrument flight, simulator and ground instruction in accordance with the Aeros Group approved Training Manuals for the delivery of Modular flight training courses.
Day to day responsibilities will include (but not limited to)
- Uphold flight safety in every aspect of training and encourage a ‘just culture’ amongst colleagues and cadets
- Conduct each training event in accordance with the approved syllabus, and in compliance with the Academy published schedule/programme
- Ensure each cadet is properly briefed and prepared for each training event and conduct a debrief after completion of the event
- Complete cadet reports promptly after every training event
- Monitor every assigned cadet’s progress and report any training performance problems to the CFI or designated representative
- Foster professionalism amongst all cadets
- Observe the highest personal standard of professionalism in every aspect of this role
- Maintain personal license and rating validities
- Retain a valid Class 1 medical. Inform the CFI or designated representative promptly if loss of medical occurs
- Ensure the Academy’s standards are promoted and maintained throughout training
- Maintain an accurate and true copy of a personal flying logbook
- Comply with all rules and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual
- Attend administration, standardisation and periodic/annual training as required by the CFI/HoT
- Support the CFI or designated representative in the conduct of academy business
- Monitor the maintenance condition of the training fleet and report any defects to operations as soon as possible
- Conduct any other reasonable duties which may, from time to time, be given by the HoT, CFI or designated representative
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Flight instructional experience at ab‑initio level: Experienced in delivering VFR and/or IFR training on the MEP aircraft
- A good standard of piloting and instructional skills
- Flexibility to adapt learning/teaching styles and to differentiate between cadets
- Strong customer care skills
- Knowledge of UK CAA and EASA regulations
- Self‑motivated, confident and enthusiastic
- Good team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal comfortably with various cultures
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of UK CAA CPL, MEP, IR(A) with FCL.905 (a)(b)(e)(f)(h)(i) privileges
- Recent experience as an MEIR Flight Instructor
- UK Class 2 Medical
- The right to live and work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications
- UK Class 1 Medical
- Experienced on Diamond DA40/DA42 aircraft
Compensation Package
Salary of £55,000 with an additional competitive uncapped bonus scheme (with an OTE of £75,000), subject to realistic and achievable targets.
