Job Title: Test Equipment Support Engineer
Salary: up to £41,500 per annum dependent upon experience
Location: Portsmouth
We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Test Equipment Support Engineer. The role will be based in Portsmouth and requires the successful candidate to be on site full time but offers the opportunity for flexible working hours.
They work at the cutting edge of technology, creating more than 100 new inventions every year for customers in over 100 countries.
You will be joining the In Service Support team which consists of 14 skilled engineers dealing with MoD contracts, some that are 50 years old, to be maintained for the next 15-20 years.
Main Responsibilities:
Carrying out safety testing, PAT and HAV
Maintaining calibrated assets, documentation and SAP records
Carrying out routine calibrations of special to type test equipment
Maintaining current assets for usability and safety updating and repair where necessary
Designing and building new test equipment when required
