The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Quality Assurance Engineer. The role will be based in Portsmouth and offers a hybrid working pattern (3-4 days per week on site). Flexible working hours are also available.

You will be joining the Maritime and Land Defence Solutions QA team who work closely with projects delivering a range of products and services to their defence customers in the UK and abroad. The QA team provides assurance that Quality requirements are being met so that their output delivers the capability their customers demand and rely on.

The team consists of 16 people across 3 sub teams (QA/ QC and CI) with this role joining the QA sub team.

  • Work as a fully contributory member of the Quality team
  • Undertake specific complex Quality Assurance activities across Maritime and Land Defence solutions
  • Awareness of Customer Quality conditions
  • The ability to analyse data effectively resulting in themes and corrective actions

Qualifications:

  • NC or HNC qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent Quality experience
  • Quality professional, lead/ internal auditor status or equivalent experience
  • Ideally you will have a background in maritime/ shipbuilding/ military or engineering but this is not essential
  • Any knowledge or experience using SAP would be advantageous but not essential

You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years.
