Job Title: B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer We currently have a vacancy to join an internationally renowned flight training school as a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer. The role will be based at their site just outside Abridge in Essex. This is a full time, permanent position and will require the successful candidate to have their own transport due to the location of the airfield. Established more than 45 years ago, the company specialises in training private and commercial airline pilots. They currently maintain their own fleet of 33 company aircraft and also 11 of their customer’s aircraft. They are looking for an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join their busy maintenance department. Working within a small team, reporting to and working closely with the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily running of the hangar. You will ensure that all aircraft checks and rectification work is carried out in a timely manner and to the highest standards. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with occasional overtime if required. Main Responsibilities You will provide a CRS signature for release to service after scheduled and rectification work has been completed IAW current EASA Part M and Part 145 approvals. You will carry out maintenance tasks with the applicable regulations, engineering procedures and approved technical documentation. You will ensure maintenance tasks performed by engineers are inspected and certified accordingly. Ensure all documentation required for certification and technical control are fully and correctly completed. You will know how to work under pressure and act accordingly in a flexible way for different situations. Deal with all customers, management and staff in a respectable and professional manner. Experience on Diamond and Tecnam desirable. Human Factors Certified Driving Licence and own transport Have excellent communication skills, in English, both spoken and written. Comfortable working as part of a team.
