Our exclusive client requires skilled composite fitters with working skills and knowledge in Aerospace / Autosport sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly of Composite components in line with Drawings, CAD or MoM, ensuring correct fixturing is used where required.
  • Riveting and anchor nut assembly.
  • Carry out any trimming and a small amount of 'Fettling' as required using approved equipment and processes.
  • Structural bonding.
  • Ensure Jigs and Fixtures are checked and maintained in line with Tooling Documents, with full calibration checks done as per schedule.
  • Follow Health & Safety requirements and read any COSHH documents before using materials.
  • Maintain documentation and bookings against jobs.
  • Feed back assembly/component issues to Line Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably with experience in composite materials or related industries.
  • Vocational training or certification in mechanical fitting, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • High level of precision and attention to detail in fitting and assembly tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Job Details

  • Duration: 3 months +
  • Hours: 40 per week (Overtime available over 40 hours per week)
  • Currently Deemed Inside IR35 (possible change subject to completion of relevant documents)
  • Start Dates: Immediate
  • You MUST be fully eligible to work in the UK currently.
  • References will be checked.
  • Proven training / certification required.
