Location: East Midlands Airport, United Kingdom
Position: FAA A&P Mechanic
Aircraft Experience: 747-400 experience preferred; other widebody experience also considered
Contract Type: Long-term, ongoing
Shift Pattern: Flexible
Start Date: Immediate and rolling throughout the year
Pay Rates: New, updated competitive rates
Training: Gen Fam courses available
Requirements:
- Valid FAA A&P license
- Hands-on experience with commercial aircraft maintenance (wide-body preferred)
- Knowledge of B747 systems (CF6 or PW4000 experience is a plus)
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Ability to follow technical data, maintenance manuals, and complete documentation accurately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment
- Flexibility to work day/night shifts and weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify faults and carry out corrective action.
- Ensure accurate and complete maintenance documentation.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and airworthiness standards at all times.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other mechanics to ensure timely aircraft turnaround.
