Aeropeople have partnered with a global designer and manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices who are now looking to hire a permanent Mechanical Technician/Fitter- Inflatables, to be based at their site in Stansted. The successful candidate would be expected to be on site 5 days per week.
They are a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions serving a diverse set of attractive niche markets, recognised as a global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter and business jet markets. As a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices they offer specialised services for more than 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment.
Hours of work are Monday- Thursday: 8am- 4.30pm and Friday: 8am- 4pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their sub components in accordance with CMM’s / OHM’s and OEM packing instructions.
Benefits include:
- Overtime available at x 1.5 normal rate during the week/ x 2 normal rate at weekends.

Requirements:
- Numerate and literate – minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
- OEM training in maintenance and overhaul of safety equipment (highly desirable).
- Experience of repairing and packing aircraft safety equipment (highly desirable).
- Previous experience of working in an engineering/ workshop environment (highly desirable).
- Prior experience of interpreting and following in detail compliance manuals.
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multi task whilst maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
