Job Title: Commercial Administrator
Salary: up to £28,000 per annum dependent upon experience
Location: Wendens Ambo (Saffron Walden)/ Braintree from January 2026
An opportunity has become available to join an approved Part 145 MRO as a Commercial Administrator at their site just outside of Saffron Walden, Essex for the next few months. The role will then be based in Braintree from January 2026 as the company will be moving sites to allow for expansion. They company specialises in developing new repairs for aircraft components via Part 21J design and has a full range of C- ratings as well as a CAA BCAR approved aerospace welding workshop. They provide component repairs to a wide range of aircraft operators including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, ATR and Bombardier. The company offers solutions on reliability problems, reducing delays, lowering operator and FHA providers stock holding requirements, associated administration and costs.
The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate Production of the workshops in order to achieve agreed Safety, Quality and production targets in line with the Companies Global objectives. Plan and maintain systems and procedures for operating efficiency and to communicate effectively up and down the chain with Employees, Team leaders, Managers for optimum performance and maximum productivity.
You will handle every aspect of managing the administration and customer service processes required to deliver end to end service to some of the biggest airline companies in the world. This will include producing estimates and managing these.
This is a permanent position working Monday- Friday, 8.00am- 4.30pm. The post holder would be expected on site full time, there is no hybrid working available with this role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Regular liaison with our Aviation Partners to manage, track and progress the maintenance and repair of airline components
- Flag up any supply issues such as shortages or delays and liaise internally with the Purchasing, Planning and Engineering Team Leaders to progress works to agreed deadlines
- Accurately input information into our inhouse database systems (Aerotrack)
- Producing quotes and estimates, sending these out to customers and managing approvals upon return
- Identify and implement processes to improve quality of service and productivity
- Handle any customer service issues and complete general administrative duties
- Respond to Customer questions.
- Supporting team members with their roles and to provide cover with annual leave (Sales, Estimating, Purchasing)
- Answering incoming/ external phone calls
- Ensuring company documents are up to date on our website.

About You:
- Previous experience within a busy sales /customer service department.
- GCSE or equivalent.
- Ideally previous experience in an Aerospace Engineering company although not essential
- Knowledge of planning, monitoring and managing workloads to achieve production targets
- Knowledge of office administrative procedures.
- Experience in managing quotes/ estimates is highly desirable.
