Overview
B2 Licensed Technician (line) ā Sponsored Reservist. Location: Carterton, Oxfordshire. Salary: Ā£68,868 per annum plus shift allowance and additional payments. This is a role with Aeropeople on behalf of a world-leading aviation service provider, offering end-to-end maintenance, military and civil flying programmes, training and major aircraft upgrades.
Note: You will be a reservist employed by the client (not the RAF). When not deployed for military tasks, you return to your civilian role with the company. This role involves a mix of day and night shifts and deployments up to 6 months per year.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake scheduled and un-scheduled Aircraft Maintenance in accordance with the required regulatory and company requirements.
- Be responsible to the Shift Manager or nominated deputy for the receipt/dispatch and servicing of aircraft, including pre-flight checks; daily checks; weekly checks; scheduled maintenance; component changes; rectification and repair; mandatory inspection; role changes and aircraft refuelling within company procedures.
- Certify all servicing and maintenance tasks in accordance with their scope of authorisation and under the authority of the company Quality Manager.
- Ensure that all technical staff working under supervision perform their duties safely and correctly in accordance with relevant documentation.
- Assume control of documentation for aircraft and ensure all required certification entries are promptly and correctly recorded.
- Control materials and equipment provided for the task and maintain a clean working area.
- Be available at short notice to perform AOG recovery of aircraft from deployed operations.
- Liaise with Planning on technical issues and forthcoming scheduled inputs; coordinate ground movement of aircraft as assigned by the Shift Manager.
- Ensure health & safety requirements are met and adhered to; report safety/disciplinary matters to the Line Manager.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Line Manager and deliver a safe service aligned with SMS, Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Deputise for senior engineer positions as required; utilise the company GCIS Maintenance IT Support systems where applicable.
- Operate Company-provided MTGSE in support of operational requirements within authorised scope.
- Maintain a safety-focused approach across all facets of work and demonstrate knowledge of company policies and national Environmental and HSE regulations.
- Drive or operate relevant equipment and contribute to building a corporate safety culture.
About You / Qualifications
- Must pass a CP2 Colour Vision Test.
- Must hold at least one of the following type ratings: Airbus A330/ A320/ A321/ A380 or Boeing B747/ B777/ B787.
- Experience in both Line and Base maintenance environments.
- Desirable qualifications/experience at recruitment; demonstrable experience on commercial or military aircraft; previous approvals on commercial or military aircraft; MOD environment experience; outstation experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Eligible for SC (Secret Level) UK Security Clearance.
Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary: £68,868 per annum
- Annual shift allowance: £7,500 (paid monthly)
- Attestation payment: £3,313.44 when attested
- Sponsored Reservist bounty payments: £3,313.44 twice per year (subject to deployment)
- Sponsored Reservist call out payment: £663.12 per quarter when deployed or after RAF training
- Military duty pay: £3.30 per hour
- Annual Dual Licence payment: £2,781 (paid monthly)
