We are looking for a permanent Aircraft Mechanic to join our growing team at East Midlands Airport. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced business.

Established 20 years ago, Aeropeople combines Engineering Services (Line Maintenance, CAMO and Aircraft Tool Hire) and Recruitment Solutions. Our talented Engineering Services division is based at both London Stansted Airport and East Midlands Airport and is made up of our Line Maintenance and CAMO teams, combining their numerous EASA and international regulatory approvals.

The line maintenance services at East Midlands Airport includes routine and non-routine maintenance on aircraft including the Boeing 747. This is a full-time position, working a 5/4/4 shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance, repair and overhaul of customer aircraft, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Comply with Aeropeople and customer-specific processes, recording all maintenance activity and ensuring man-hour bookings are accurate and timely
  • Execute the highest standards of maintenance, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to customer satisfaction
  • Maintain the highest standard of safety and cleanliness, complying with all company procedures and policies
  • Fully comply with Health & Safety requirements.
Benefits:
  • Negotiable Basic Salary, dependent upon experience + shift allowance
  • Shift allowance of Β£4,200 per annum
  • Discretionary annual company bonus (currently 10% of basic salary after successful completion of 3-month probation)
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Generous company pension scheme (5% employer/ 5% employee)
  • Life Insurance (4x annual salary)
About You:
  • Previous Line Maintenance experience performing repairs, overhaul and maintenance on commercial aircraft - B747 and/or B777 experience preferred.
  • Previous live aircraft mechanical experience
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Relevant training certificates (Human Factors, EWIS & Fuel Tank Safety)
  • Valid DBS or ability to obtain one
  • Full driving Licence
  • Current authorisation to work in the UK.
