Aeropeople are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Sheetfed Offset Press Operatorto join their growing production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sheetfed offset printer who is ready to take on additional responsibility, support other operators and play an important role in developing a new production team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient running of the printing process, monitoring print quality, assisting operators during production and providing practical training and technical guidance to new and existing team members.
This role would particularly suit an experienced press operator who enjoys sharing their knowledge and helping less experienced colleagues develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Train new and existing press operators in the safe and effective operation of sheetfed offset printing presses.
- Monitor the printing process and support operators throughout production.
- Provide practical and technical guidance to operators during shifts.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical or production issues.
- Ensure the printing press is properly maintained and operated efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain required print quality and production standards.
- Ensure production jobs are completed efficiently, accurately and to the
- Share technical knowledge, experience and best practice with other press operators.
- Support the onboarding and development of new members of the production team.
- Help promote consistent working practices and high standards across the pressroom.
- Technical & Printing Experience
The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience in sheetfed offset printing and a good understanding of printing presses and the complete printing process.
Experience with the following would be particularly valuable
- Proven experience as a Sheetfed Offset Press Operator / Litho Printer.
- Strong understanding of sheetfed offset printing processes.
- Experience operating and setting up multi-colour offset printing presses.
- Good understanding of print quality requirements, colour and registration.
- Ability to monitor press performance and identify production issues.
- Experience with press maintenance and routine adjustments.
- Experience in folding carton / paper packaging production would be a strong advantage.
- Experience with modern high-speed sheetfed offset presses would be highly desirable.
- Experience training or mentoring other press operators would be a significant advantage.
