We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as an Occupational Hygiene Technician. The role will be based in Glasgow and requires the successful candidate to be on site in either Govan or Scotstoun 4.5 days per week (early finish at lunchtime on Fridays). This will be working a 37 hour week with a 1pm finish on Fridays. Flexible working hours are also available.

The company works at the cutting edge of technology, creating more than 100 new inventions every year for customers in over 100 countries. The role will be based in their SHE Technical Services Team which is a highly skilled, collaborative SHE community supporting some of the UK’s most critical Naval Ship programmes.

Working alongside engineers, project leaders and delivery partners, the team combines deep technical knowledge with a pragmatic, enablement focused approach to safety, health and environment. The Occupational Hygiene Technician will help identify, assess and control health risks from workplace hazards such as noise, dust, fumes, chemicals and other potentially harmful exposures.

The role involves monitoring and sampling, supporting risk assessments and providing reliable data to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and industry standards.
