We are looking for a permanent Shift Lead/ Supervisor to join our growing team at East Midlands airport. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, fast paced business.
Established 20 years ago, Aeropeople combines Engineering Services (Line Maintenance, CAMO and Aircraft Tool Hire) and Recruitment Solutions. Our talented Engineering Services division is based at both London Stansted Airport and East Midlands Airport and is made up of our both Line Maintenance and CAMO teams, combining their numerous EASA and international regulatory approvals.
The line maintenance services at East Midlands Airport includes routine and non-routine maintenance on aircraft including the Boeing 747.
This is a full time position, working a 5/4/4 shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision, assignment allocation and administration of shift personnel, task supervision and the supervision of all staff across all designated Line Maintenance bases where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot complex defects.
- Inspect and sign for work completed in accordance with the Personal Authorisation Document granted by the Compliance Monitoring Manager.
- Liaise with staff to give advice, direction, and support and maintain discipline.
- Anticipate trends, deal with recurring and deferred defects in an expeditious manner.
- Through Line Maintenance Manager, provide a compliant and safety control function to always ensure a high standard.
- Fly on customer's aircraft from time to time in the capacity of Flight Mechanic.
- Shall be responsible for ensuring that prior to dispatch of an aircraft all required maintenance has been actioned, documented, and appropriately certified.
- Bring training requirements to the notice of the Line Maintenance Manager/Deputy Line Maintenance Manager.
- Accept parts into stores in accordance with the authorisation certificate issued by the Compliance Monitoring Manager and in accordance with MOE part 2.
- In the absence of the Line Maintenance Manager and or Deputy Line Maintenance Manager deputising to attend to those urgent Airworthiness matters that may not be deferred.
- Perform such other duties as may be required from time to time.
- Deputise for the Line Maintenance Manager/Deputy Line Maintenance Manager in his or her absence.
- Maintain records of tooling, ground equipment, calibration, shift manning and any other records that may be required by the Line Maintenance Manager.

- £1,250 per aircraft type CRS unrestricted
- £750 per additional “B” rating restricted
- £1,250 per additional “B” rating unrestricted
- £1,250 for A&P Licence
About You:
- Shall be licensed and approved to certify work on customer’s aircraft, engines equipment and systems.
- Have the ability to work on their own initiative with a sound mature sense of judgement.
- Be highly organised and able to handle a wide variety of tasks.
- Be an effective communicator with proven computer skills
- Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) and establish relationships with Team, clients and third party suppliers.
- Proven leadership skills to ensure the very best is achieved by the entire team.
