Company Description

Aeroloop AI is a leading technology company that leverages cutting-edge artificial intelligence to innovate and optimize infrastructure and operational systems. With a focus on sustainable and efficient solutions, Aeroloop AI is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in energy, transportation, and facility management. At Aeroloop AI, we empower our team to solve complex challenges, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement. Join us in shaping the future of intelligent systems and infrastructure across the globe.

Role Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Critical Facilities Engineer specializing in industrial HVAC and thermodynamic control loops for high-density data centers. You will be responsible for the continuous uptime, airflow topology optimization, and mechanical efficiency of mission-critical data halls. This role bridges raw physical thermodynamics with day-to-day facility scaling, focusing heavily on managing thermal lag during sudden computational workload spikes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex chiller plants, CRAH/CRAC units, Variable Primary Flow loops, and dry coolers.
  • Manage hot/cold aisle containment structures and coordinate floor tile placement to eradicate localized hot spots in data halls exceeding 15 kW per rack.
  • Execute transient thermal analysis and utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools to simulate airflow short-circuiting and heat stratification under maximum IT loads.
  • Draft and execute complex Method of Procedures (MOPs) for altering cooling setpoints without violating strict customer Uptime SLAs.
  • Provide technical evaluation for integrating incoming high-density liquid cooling infrastructure (Direct-to-Chip cold plates, Immersion Cooling, and CDUs).

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of operational experience within Tier III or Tier IV multi-tenant colocation or hyperscale facilities.
  • Direct hands-on experience using CFD modeling software (e.g., 6SigmaRoom / Future Facilities, Ansys Fluent, or TileFlow).
  • Strong working knowledge of psychrometric charts, hydraulic sequencing, and real-world thermal lag dynamics in centralized chilled water plants.
  • B.Sc. or equivalent practical background in Mechanical Engineering, Thermofluid Sciences, or Building Science.
