Role Overview
We are currently seeking skilled Pipe Benders to join our growing team. This role involves working with a variety of materials and thicknesses, using both manual and CNC-operated bending machines. You will be responsible for ensuring all components meet exacting aerospace standards through the use of fixtures, jigs, and precision measuring equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual and CNC pipe bending machines.
- Work with a range of materials including aluminium, titanium, and stainless steel.
- Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Essential:
- Proven experience in pipe bending, ideally within aerospace or precision engineering sectors although not essential.
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC bending machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of measurement tools and quality control processes.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering, Fabrication, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working with aerospace-grade materials.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
- Basic computer literacy for machine interface and documentation.
