David Hart Aerospace Pipes Limited manufactures pipes and ducts in aluminium, titanium, nimonic alloys and stainless steels predominantly for the aerospace industry, but also for the motorsport (F1) sector. Based in Downton and formed in 1999, our continued growth has been secured through the next decade by the winning of substantial new business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the MRP driven purchase suggestions for the purchase of goods and services.
- Action MRP exception messages, schedule ins/outs and cancellations in a timely manner.
- Ensure latest projected supply dates from vendors are maintained accurately on the ERP system to keep production lines balanced.
- Maintain regular communication with the Production Team, providing updates on overdue materials.
- Improve supplier performance and build a successful supply chain, including quality and supply issues, by regular meetings with suppliers, including visits.
- Support the Sales team to obtain component pricing.
- Contribute in production meetings.
- Carry out additional tasks if required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Buyer within a technology/engineering/manufacturing company (ideally mechanical/aerospace).
- Experience in influencing and/or negotiating.
- Supplier relationship management.
- Ability to work with financial and time-sensitive constraints.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
